About Kelly
After persistent requests, Kelly’s parents paid for her first horse-riding lesson when she was 11 years old. At age 15, Kelly was lucky enough to get her first horse and has now had the pleasure of his company for 14 years, he is one of her long-standing friends.
In 2000 Kelly graduated from Hertfordshire University with a 2:1 in Psychology and began working at Treehouse, the first UK based school to pioneer the use of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to teach children with autism. It was whilst teaching here that Kelly became a Board Certified Associate Behaviour Analyst (BCABA) in 2003.
In 2006 Kelly graduated with The Equine Behaviour Qualification (EBQ) Stage One from The Natural Animal Centre. Here, animal behaviourist Heather Simpson and animal trainer Ross Simpson, taught Kelly, how to train and manage horses safely using positive reinforcement.
By pairing her enthusiasm for ABA with her passion for horses, Kelly has finally found her niche.
